Kasson Speedway has announced a double feature format for it’s A&A Electric and Underground USRA Modifieds starting this Sunday, June 15. This Sunday will also honor the men and women in uniform with Military Appreciation Night.
Races for Wednesday, June 11, at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, have been canceled due to area flooding.
The scheduled racing action for Tuesday night at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., has been cancelled due to the heavy rains that fell in the Lebanon area on Sunday and Monday night.

Justin Henderson overtook early leader Johnn Cressman with five laps remaining then outlasted Mark Dobmeier to win his second consecutive USRA Outlaw Sprint feature at Huset's Speedway Sunday night. Jody Rosenboom captured his fifth USRA Championship Sprint feature win of the season and in the USRA B-Mod race, it was Ben VanVooren picking up his first-ever win while Travis Christensen topped the USRA Hobby Stock field.
When the USMTS Modifieds and USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series travels into Northern Iowa next week, race fans will not only have the opportunity to witness some of the best Modified racers in America, they'll also be helping out families that were devastated by a tornado on May 25 that left eight people dead and destroyed more than 200 houses and damaged hundreds of others.
Officials from the Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa, have announced some additional appearances by USRA-sanctioned classes at the half-mile speedplant. USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars have been added to the schedule on June 11 and Aug. 28. In addition, USRA Modifieds will join the program on June 24 during the Butler County Fair.
With Friday night's racing action postponed due to weather, the Midway Speedway will be running a regular points race on Tuesday night, June 10. Gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing at 8.

The first day of June was welcomed at the Kasson Speedway in Kasson, Minn. with bright sunny skies and 73 race cars filling the pit area on KOWZ 100.9 FM Night.
Justin Henderson raced past Jake Peters at the halfway point and went on to claim his first USRA Outlaw Sprint feature win of 2008 at Huset's Speedway Sunday night. Jody Rosemboom continued his dominance by winning his fourth USRA Championship Sprint feature of the season while Kevin Joachin notched his first win in USRA B-Mod action and Tommy Barber scored his second USRA Hobby Stock win.
On a great night for racing at the Eldon Raceway with sunshine and no rain, the racing action was exciting and the night was sponsored by Winger Company of Ottumwa with all five classes in action.
A quarter-inch of rain fell on the Deer Creek Speedway at 4:30 p.m., delaying the racing activity by two hours on Saturday. Most of the drivers and crowd hung around and saw great racing action all night long.
The special Saturday night, May 31, events were lost due to torrid rains just after the first heat hit the track. The event will not be rescheduled at this time.
