Terry McCarl passed Scott Winters with 14 laps to go then held off a hard-charging Mark Dobmeier to record his second USRA Outlaw Sprint Car feature win of the season Sunday night at the Huset's Speedway.

The final race of the night Saturday at the Deer Creek Speedway saw the USRA Modifieds racing for $1,250 to win as Nate Wasmund captured his first regular season win of his career at the facility.

Despite a two-hour slow steady afternoon rain, the Firecracker Special at the Midway Speedway provided plenty of tight racing action Friday night along with a beautiful fireworks show at intermission with 72 race teams checking into the pits.

Light rain sprinkles which had greeted fans and drivers alike as they were showing up for the races let up in time to get the show started. Unfortunately, six laps into the USRA Modified feature it started up again and the race was red-flagged. The event will be completed next Friday night, July 10.

When the top-10 re-drew for the feature, Justin "Whitey" Folk came up with outside pole. Problem? To his left was Jesse Stovall, who's nothing short of lightning quick; hard to beat even when you know what your car's going to do.

Matt Greiner of Washington picked up the biggest win of his career by crossing the line and taking the $2,000 payday Wednesday in the 14th Annual MUSCO Lighting Great American Stock Car Shootout, and a very special trophy to add to the trophy case to remember an awesome night of racing.

Wednesday was the 14th year for the prestigious MUSCO Lighting Great American Stock Car Shootout at the Southern Iowa Speedway with the winner of the USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Car feature walking away with a $2,000 payday.

The Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., will provide lots of family action on Friday night, July 3, as the Speedway will be hosting a regular racing event but also providing the Lebanon/Laclede County area with a fine fireworks show at intermission.

Gregg Bakker out-dueled Mark Dobmeier into turn 1 from his outside front row starting position and led all 25 laps en route to his first USRA Outlaw Sprint Car feature win of the season Sunday night at the Huset’s Speedway.

Despite soaring temperatures, the action Saturday night at the Springfield Raceway provided an excellent track surface and side-by-side racing all night long as the feature winners went down to the wire.
