The final race of the night Saturday at the Deer Creek Speedway saw the USRA Modifieds racing for $1,250 to win as Nate Wasmund captured his first regular season win of his career at the facility.
Despite a two-hour slow steady afternoon rain, the Firecracker Special at the Midway Speedway provided plenty of tight racing action Friday night along with a beautiful fireworks show at intermission with 72 race teams checking into the pits.
Light rain sprinkles which had greeted fans and drivers alike as they were showing up for the races let up in time to get the show started.
