Friday night at the Humboldt Speedway, USRA Modified feature action saw Justin "Whitey" Folk claim his third feature in a row. This trip, Folk smoked everybody, including runner-up Johnny Bone Jr. At the flag, Jess Folk Jr. squeezed past Scott Daniels for third.

Last Wednesday night, May 21, Mike VanGenderen of Newton, Iowa, debuted his new USRA Stock Car at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. There was another twist to the debut: VanGenderen’s Stock Car was the first to compete with the GM Performance Parts 604 Crate Engine.

Racing action was fast and furious Saturday night at the high banks of the I-44 Speedway with Fan Appreciation Night as adults in the grandstands watched the racing action for only $5. In USRA Modified action, all eyes were on points leader Terry Beckham II to see if he could make it four in a row. Fuel pick-up problems, however, sent him to the pits during the pace lap.
A warm but Breezy day found a good field of cars and a nice crowd on hand for the Island Pool and Spa day at the Deer Creek Speedway. Tim Donlinger has had the hot hand at the redraw box through the first two weeks of the season. Both times Donlinger drew the front row redraw for the feature event.
