After two weeks of Mother Nature throwing snow and cold weather at Southern Minnesota, things are looking pretty good for Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Minn., to open up its 2007 racing season this Friday night.

Boubin Tire, in conjunction with Race Tire America/American Racer in a national effort have developed a new and exciting program to help limit the cost of open competition Sprint Car racing.

With additional last-minute work to be done to the racing surface and grounds at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, official from RL Promotions have canceled the Tuesday night practice session. The 2007 season opener will take place this Wednesday, April 18, at the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster featuring the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series.

Once again, Mother Nature has won at Humboldt Speedway. Maybe better luck next Friday, April 20.

Persistent and possibly heavy rainfall today and tomorrow, coupled with below average temperatures, have forced track owner Randy Mooneyham to cancel the Saturday night races at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway.

Officials from the Echo Valley Speedway in West Union, Iowa, have released an updated schedule of events for the 2007 racing season. The 4/10-mile high-banked oval will kick off their inaugural season under the USRA banner on Saturday, April 21.

Deer Ceek Speedway will once again try to make an effort to get the 2007 racing season underway next week. Practice is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, and racing action will commence on Saturday, April 21.

First it was the rain. Then it was freezing temperatures. Hopefully the third time will be a charm for the Lebanon I-44 Speedway's 2007 season opener, set to run this Saturday, April 14, with races starting at 7:30 p.m.
