The near total domination of late in the USRA Modified division has seen Justin "Whitey" Folk hammer a lot of tough competition. His own brother, Jess Folk Jr., came close to pulling off a win to break the spell Friday night. Unfortunately for Jess, close doesn't get it done.
Johnny Bone Jr. won the 16th Annual Humboldt Speedway Modified Blast Thursday night. Well, maybe saying he "won" it is a bit of an understatement. This guy rolled into town and smoked everybody.
USRA Modified action Friday night at Humboldt Speedway featured the "usual suspect": Whitey Folk, riding the high side of The Hummer high banks on his way to still another feature win.

In the main event, it was "Katy bar the door" for one lap until Gary Langworthy Jr. ate the wall in turn 1. On the restart, Justin "Whitey" Folk went from fifth to first in less time than it took you to read this, and simply sailed away.
Friday night at the Humboldt Speedway, USRA Modified feature action saw Justin "Whitey" Folk claim his third feature in a row. This trip, Folk smoked everybody, including runner-up Johnny Bone Jr. At the flag, Jess Folk Jr. squeezed past Scott Daniels for third.
Despite early pressure from brother Whitey, Jess Folk Jr. took the USRA Modified feature Friday, May 9, at Humboldt Speedway with little drama. The dramatic performance of the event was turned in by Jessy Willard, who started fourth row inside and finished second.
For the second time in as many weeks, Johnny Bone Jr. bested the best that Humboldt Speedway has to offer in USRA Modifieds. What transpired in feature action this week was truly a pleasure to see.
