HUMBOLDT, Kan. -- If you missed Friday night’s races at the Humboldt Speedway, you probably missed out on the best race ever at 'The Hummer.'

With 27 USRA RHS Modifieds signing in for the evening, we knew it was going to be an outstanding show ... and that it was.

With Brian Bolin, Johnny Bone Jr., Dennis Bishop and Justin Folk claiming the wins in their heat races, they were sitting pretty good for the feature line up. In the first lap of the "A" Main, Folk jumped out in the lead, but not without Bolin, Bone and John Allen right on his bumper.

For most of the 20 laps it was two- and three-wide around each corner, and on lap 11 Allen took the lead but the next lap Folk gained it back. This went on throughout the race, but when the checkered flag was flown it was Allen taking home the hardware, with Folk a close second.

Bone never gave them much slack to gain third position, while Bolin picked up fourth and Scott Daniels was able to finish fifth.

You just don’t see races this competitive ... except at 'The Hummer.'

Action continues next week with the USRA RHS Modifieds racing for $1,500 to win. Ticket prices will be $12 for adults and kids are $6. Race time is 7 p.m.
