Jess Folk Jr. celebrates first USRA RHS Modified win of this season with his father Jess, son Brady and daughter Britian.

HUMBOLDT, Kan. -- It's tough to watch a really talented driver struggle through a slump. It's tougher still to be that driver. All you can do is keep working until, at last, the set up comes back. Then, look out!

So far this year, Jess Folk Jr. has been that driver. The former Humboldt Speedway track champ has struggled all year, yet made steady improvements in the last several weeks.

Finally on July 1, two simple adjustments blasted Folk into the winners circle once more. After a dominating performance in his heat, Folk wired the field in the 20-lap feature from the pole.

Brother Justin "Whitey" Folk was stout in his own right as runner-up, but could only get so close. Scott Daniels captured third, John Allen was fourth and Brian Bolin finishd fifth.

Racing resumes next Friday, July 8, at 'The Hummer.'
