Folks finish 1-2 at Humboldt
HUMBOLDT, Kan. - After fighting off the entire Folk racing clan and leading the USRA Modified feature for 11 of 16 laps, Brian Bolin smacked the wall on the outside of turns 3-4 and put an end to his hopes of winning.
That left Jess Folk Jr. in the lead with little brother Justin "Whitey" Folk in second and a restart.
Oddly, Whitey seemed really subdued up to this point, like maybe the car wasn't quite right.
That is, until the green flag came out and he took off like he was shot from a cannon.
Junior got close once or twice, but Whitey left him in second place.
Bolin, meanwhile, recovered to finish third. Travis Smith was fourth, with Rodney Sigg fifth.
