It has been more often that not that Mother Nature has tried to crash the party at Chateau Raceway this season. The party was not only crashed, but the doors were blown open just when the night’s first feature race was on the track Friday night.

Finally on July 1, two simple adjustments blasted Jess Folk Jr. into the winners circle once more. After a dominating performance in his heat, Folk wired the field in the 20-lap feature from the pole.

It was previously posted that on July 6 the Modifieds will run under the USRA’s “alternative” rules for the class. The “alternative” rules package will be in place for the Tuesday, July 12, event as part of the 15th Annual Great American Stock Car Shootout.

United States Racing Association officials announced today that beginning July 1, 2011, all competitors utilizing the CT525 crate engine must add an additional 50 pounds of weight in front of the mid-plate. The overall racecar weight will now be 2,250 pounds.
