HUMBOLDT, Kan. -- Following his third USRA B-Mod feature win in four weeks Friday night, Trevor Hunt had a date with the Humboldt Speedway tech crew where a mandatory teardown of the engine was preformed.

Hunt passed, and a growing legacy continues.

Jeremy Chambers waged a tenacious battle before having to settle for the number 2 spot.

Curt Drake, Jack Simmons and Tim VanGotten rounded out the top 5.

Johnny Bone Jr. topped the USRA Modifieds in a very competitive feature event that featured multiple lead changes.

Second went to Jess Folk Jr. John Allen wrestled his way into third.

Brian Bolin finished fourth and Tanner Mullens was fifth.

Not all the action involved internal combustion. Kids Night bike races were held at half time and the winners were Michael Briggs in the 6-and-under division, Kaden Bosch in the 7- to 9-year-old division and Matthew Kay in the 9- to 12-year olds.

Two big nights of racing are on tap next week at the Humboldt Speedway with a regular weekly show on Friday, and then on Sunday it's the Dwaine Whitworth Memorial featuring a head-to-head clash between the USRA and NCRA Modifieds. Sunday the gates open at 4:30 with racing at 7:00.
