The deadline to get your reserved tickets for this year’s USRA awards banquet is Sunday, Jan. 15. The banquet will be held Friday, Jan. 20, at the Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa.

Friday nights at LA Raceway to feature USRA Modifieds in 2012

USRA-sanctioned Modifieds will be a part of the weekly Friday night program at the LA Raceway in La Monte, Mo., during the 2012 racing season. Weekly racing featuring the USRA RHS Modifieds begins Saturday, March 31, before the track switches back to regular Friday night shows on April 27.

In his 25th year of racing, Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., put together a career year on the dirt tracks during the 2011 season. He didn't break his personal season wins record, but his 22 feature wins in 44 starts against some big fields and stiff comeptition was remarkable and earned the 45-year-old the title of USRA RHS Modified National Champion.
