In a major announcement Thursday, Kasson Speedway officials revealed their plan to switch from Sunday to Thursday nights starting with NASCAR Night on July 24.

Kasson Speedway has announced a double feature format for it’s A&A Electric and Underground USRA Modifieds starting this Sunday, June 15. This Sunday will also honor the men and women in uniform with Military Appreciation Night.

The first day of June was welcomed at the Kasson Speedway in Kasson, Minn. with bright sunny skies and 73 race cars filling the pit area on KOWZ 100.9 FM Night.

Local supporter and business Stevenson Insurance supports Kasson Speedway. The most important line in racing - the finish line - will be named the "Stevenson Insurance Finishline" at Kasson Speedway this season.

For the second straight season, AMP Energy Drink will sponsor the “AMP Dash” at the Kasson Speedway. This season, AMP Energy Drink will back the USRA Modified division weekly. However, a new program was created to attempt to get more money into the hands of drivers that don’t often see the winners circle in the main event, and spread the purse out a bit.

Noble RV of Owatonna, Minn., has announced the support and sponsorship of Kasson Speedway for 2008, and Kasson Speedway promoter Scott Mondus is thrilled to team up with the area superstore of RV trailers and motor homes.

In an effort to support the drivers and address rising travel costs, Kasson Speedway officials unveiled a support program today designed to support participation and loyalty. Any USRA Modified driver that has perfect attendance will receive a $300 guarantee against their track points fund, regardless of finish.

Kasson State Bank has signed on as a MID-Mods sponsor for 2008. The locally-owed bank and long time supporter of the speedway has committed to sponsor the largest and very exciting class of racing.

Hawkeye Racing News will publish their annual “Hometown Heroes” issue, which is due out Feb. 20. This issue profiles drivers throughout the Midwest in support classes.

Due to last week's cancellation, Kasson Speedway has scheduled a Mother's Day race. The race will be sponsored by "A Flower for You" of Kasson, and the first 100 Mothers will receive free flowers provided by A Flower for You.
