AMP Energy Drink back on board at Kasson
KASSON, Minn. -- For the second straight season, AMP Energy Drink will sponsor the “AMP Dash” at the Kasson Speedway. This season, AMP Energy Drink will back the USRA Modified division weekly. However, a new program was created to attempt to get more money into the hands of drivers that don’t often see the winners circle in the main event, and spread the purse out a bit.
It is our opinion that too many of the purse structures are way too top loaded,” said Kasson Speedway promoter Scott Mondus.
The AMP Dash will be a six-lap sprint race between the six drivers that qualified just out of the redraw in the 9th through 14th starting spots.
The winner of the race will pick up a check for $100, a trip to victory lane and earn the ninth starting spot in the main event.
The finishing order of the AMP Dash will determine the starting order for the fifth, sixth and seventh rows of the feature race.
“We are excited to have AMP Energy Drink back, and we hope this new program will help expose a group of drivers that is overlooked too many times,” Mondus added. “These drivers are a very important part of the weekly program, and we hope that this will help them show up to Kasson Speedway on a consistent basis.”
