Cresco season opener postponed until May 11
The start to the 2007 racing season at the Cresco Speedway will have to wait one more week. Due to rain on Thursday and Friday, officials at RL Promotions have moved the 2007 season opener to Friday, May 11, at the 4/10-mile clay oval speedplant in Northeast Iowa.
Officials up the ante, announce $3,000 top prize at USRA Late Model headline events
Officials from the United States Racing Association (USRA) have announced an increase in the winner’s share of the purse at headline events for the USRA Late Models during the 2007 season. In all there are 12 events that were formerly announced as $2,000-to-win shows will now carry a $3,000 top prize instead.
RL Promotions announces 2007 schedule for Cresco Speedway
Officials from RL Promotions and the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa, have announced a tentative schedule of events for the 2007 racing season at the Howard County 4/10-mile high-banked clay oval.
Preliminary 2007 schedule announced for USRA Late Models
Officials from the United States Racing Association (USRA) have released a tentative schedule of events for the inaugural season for the USRA Late Models. The 2007 season will mark the first time that the high-powered division will compete under the USRA banner, and all events will carry a top prize of $2,000 to win.
