Action at the Howard County Fairgrounds speedplant will continue next Friday, June 6 with the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Hobbys.

The season opener at the Cresco Speedway has been delayed one more week due to the extremely wet conditions at the Speedway. Soggy grounds has not allowed for proper time to work on the track and we do not want to start the season out with a rough racetrack.

Officials from RL Promotions, LLC, have announced that the motorsports promotions and management company will continue to promote weekly racing and special events at both the Cresco Speedway and Southern Iowa Speedway in 2008. As part of today's announcement, however, officials also stated that RL Promotions has decided not to exercise their option to remain as promoter of the Bloomfield Speedway and the Scotland County Speedway.
