RL Promotions announces 2007 schedule for Cresco Speedway

CRESCO, Iowa -- Officials from RL Promotions and the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa, have announced a tentative schedule of events for the 2007 racing season at the Howard County 4/10-mile high-banked clay oval.

A new era will begin as the historic facility in northeast Iowa switches from Sundays to Fridays for regular weekly shows. An exciting season of racing under the United States Racing Association banner will kick off on Friday, April 27, with the season opener for the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Hobbys.

The high-powered USRA Late Models will make two stops at Cresco in 2007. The first will happen on May 4, then again on Aug. 10 with some of the hottest drivers from throughout America's heartland.

The annual Howard County Fair race will take place on Sunday, June 24, and will feature the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series. The Season Championship is slated for Aug. 24.
