Humboldt kicks off 2026 season with Whitworth Spring Classic

HUMBOLDT, Kan. (March 16, 2026)—The silence of winter is about to be broken by the roar of high-performance engines this Friday and Saturday, March 20-21, for the Whitworth Spring Classic at the Humboldt Speedway.
Featuring the USRA Heartland Modified Tour, 'The Hummer' officially drops the green flag on the 2026 racing season with this high stakes doubleheader, marking the first race of the year in Humboldt, Kan., and serves as the season opener for the USRA Heartland Modified Tourpresented by Real Racing Wheels.
The Heartland Modified Tour brings the region's elite USRA Modified drivers to the legendary quarter-mile clay oval. Competitors will battle for early-season points and a massive purse in an event that has become a "must-win" on the Midwest dirt track calendar.
Honoring a Racing Legacy
The Whitworth Spring Classic pays tribute to the Whitworth family, whose thirty-year stewardship built Humboldt Speedway into a premier national dirt track destination. This weekend honors that history while looking forward to a 2026 season packed with speed and local pride.
