Ten races are in the books, and now the drivers seeking the 2011 Iron Man Challenge crowns head to familiar territory and new frontiers at the Cresco Speedway this Thursday, Aug. 4, and Mississippi Thunder Speedway on Friday, Aug. 5.

Six events are in the books for the Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods, with 10 different winners emerging from 11 feature races so far.

The USRA Iron Man Challenge event for Wednesday, June 15, at the Cresco Speedway has been rained out. Up next will be a doubleheader on Thursday, June 23, at the Park Jefferson Speedway and Friday, June 24, at the Rapid Speedway.

Three events are on tap for this week for the USRA Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods racing in conjunction with the USMTS Modifieds.

Seventeen dates at eleven dirt ovals comprise the 2011 schedule for the second season of the Iron Man Challenge for USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods.

The hottest and toughest Stock Car drivers in the upper Midwest are gearing up for the hottest and toughest Stock Car series in the region as the Dart Iron Man Challenge invades five tracks in Iowa and Minnesota during the first six days of August.

Due to rain and wet conditions, plus more forecasted on its way, the event scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25, has been canceled.

The Deery Brothers Summer Series ends a lengthy absence from the Mighty Howard County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Aug. 25, as Subway hosts the Late Model tour for their first event at the Cresco Speedway since 1996.

Al Hejna scored his fifth USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour win of the season Tuesday night with a wire-to-wire performance at the Cresco Speedway. Hejna started on the pole of the 40-lap Sunoco “A” Main, and never relinquished the lead despite pressure from runner-up Kelly Shryock throughout the contest presented by Dean's Body Shop.

Three of the four American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series classes were in action Tuesday night at the Cresco Speedway for a big night of racing in support of the USMTS Modifieds on NASCAR Night presented by Dean's Body Shop.
