No appetizers needed for this weekend’s entreé as the Holley Iron Man Series dishes up a hearty helping of racing excitement with four shows in five days.

For the second time in less than a month, the Holley Iron Man Series invaded the Cresco Speedway Thursday, and for the second straight time it was an exclusive Hovden party in victory lane.

The USRA Holley Iron Man Series featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods will be back in action this Fourth of July weekend with two shows scheduled at the Cresco Speedway and Fayette County Speedway.

It was a Hovden family reunion at the Cresco Speedway Sunday with Mitch Hovden (USRA Stock Cars), Dan Hovden (USRA B-Mods) and Chris Hovden (USRA Hobby Stocks) all taking their turn in the victory lane spotlight

The season opener at the Upper Iowa Speedway will now take place next Saturday, May 2. The opener was scheduled for April 25, however, the track will instead host an open practice on Saturday night from 5-9 p.m.

The 2015 racing season will be the sixth for the Holley Iron Man Series, and the biggest and boldest schedule yet is in place for the popular series featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods.
