The Southern Iowa Speedway has long been know as one of the toughest places to win.

One racing star will shine the brightest, at the Night of 1,000 Stars at Hancock County Speedway in Britt on Aug. 8.

It was another perfect evening for racing at the Dodge County Speedway on Sunday. Weather was great, and with a fairly good turn out of cars, it was sure to be a fun night.

A full field of cars in all 5 classes, combined with a well prepared, and very fast racetrack, made for one of the best nights racing this year.

Super stock driver Mark Teske held off a strong challenge from Gary Wiersgalla and Jason Johnson to notch his third victory of the season Friday night at the Fox Ridge Speedway.

An open pole position signified more than words could explain on Friday evening at the Hancock County Speedway in Britt as 25 stock cars came out to honor one of their own for the Scott Johnson Memorial.

It was another warm afternoon at the Dodge County Speedway on Sunday as the Fourth of July weekend came to a close.

With the thunderstorms in the area the car count was slightly down, but the crowd showed up in force for another great night of racing activities.
