Saturday, Aug. 29, will be Kids Night at the Springfield Raceway. Action will feature the lightning-fast USRA Modifieds where Mitch Keeter has cut a big chunk out of the points lead that Jackie Dalton had built.

Under perfect racing weather and a perfect racing surface, action provided the fans at Springfield Raceway some close racing action Saturday night.

The quick quarter-mile Springfield Raceway will be back in action Saturday night, Aug. 22, with action in all five classes. Heading into the event, Jackie Dalton of Carthage is the current USRA Modified points leader at the track.

Under a cool August night and an early morning rain shower, the action at the Springfield Raceway lived up to the billing as the "Quick Quarter" with an excellent racing surface and side-by-side action all night long.

Racing action swings back into high gear Saturday night, Aug. 1, at the quick quarter-mile Springfield Raceway with the points chase tight. A late afternoon rain forced cancellation of last week's events, so the action should be even more exciting.

Once again an action-packed night of racing at the quick quarter-mile of the Springfield Raceway will highlight the racing events on Saturday night, July 25, with the winner of the USRA Modified feature pocketing $600.

The action Saturday night at the quick quarter-mile of the Springfield Raceway lived well up to its name with side-by-side action and photo finishes all night long.

Action will resume Saturday night, July 18, at the Springfield Raceway as the quick quarter-mile will be hosting Scout Night of America. Any Boy Scout or Girl Scout that comes to the track in uniform will be admitted FREE.

Despite soaring temperatures, the action Saturday night at the Springfield Raceway provided an excellent track surface and side-by-side racing all night long as the feature winners went down to the wire.

With the heat and weather changing, Springfield Raceway owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland have moved the starting time to 7:30 p.m. Racing this Saturday, June 27, includes the USRA Modifieds.

After a standing-room-only event last Saturday night, the points battle at the Springfield Raceway will turn up the heat even more with Bass Pro Shop and Hardee's Night at the quick quarter-mile dirt oval.

On only his third night out with a new car, former Springfield Raceway track champion Erik Maggard grabbed the lead on lap 7 and never looked back in grabbing his first USRA Modified feature win of the season Saturday night.
