Kids Night, tight points battle highlights upcoming Springfield Raceway card
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Saturday, Aug. 29, will be Kids Night at the Springfield Raceway. Kids ages 6-12 will be admitted for just $2 and will recieve a back-to-school pack. Also, at intermission there will be bicycle races for the kids 12 and under as they get their chance to race on the quick quarter-mile.
Pepsi of Springfield will be the merchant sponsor.
Action will feature the lightning-fast USRA Modifieds where Mitch Keeter of Webb City has cut a big chunk out of the points lead that Carthage's Jackie Dalton had built.
Dalton's problems this past Saturday night has allowed Keeter to close to within 12 points of the top spot with only two points races remaining.
Also running will be Late Models, SportMods, Bombers and Legends Cars.
Gates open at 5:00 with hot laps slated for 6:45 and racing at 7:30.
Admission prices in the grandstands is $10 for adults with this weeks special on the kids as 6-12 are only $2 and 5 and under are free.
