With 32 USRA RHS Modifieds on hand Friday at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway, Tim Donlinger of Rochester, Minn., went flag to flag at the head of the pack for the $3,000 top prize.

Nate Wasmund made the happy trip to the infield for his first USRA RHS Modified win at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in only his second visit. Troy Langowski cleaned up as he swept the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mod division.

Ben Anderson was a repeat winner in the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mod division Tuesday night at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway.

A strong field of 23 USRA RHS Modifieds were on hand in what can only be described as a prelude to the rain date USMTS show coming up Tuesday, July 13, and it was Bob Timm making it back-to-back victories at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway.

Day two of the July Fourth weekend events at Mississippi Thunder Speedway saw Troy Langowski top the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods while Bob Timm wheeled his way ahead of Josh Angst on the last lap to take the feature win in the USRA RHS Modifieds.

The event has been rescheduled just a few weeks out for Tuesday, July 13. Grandstand tickets and pit wristbands will be good for that night. If you are unable to attend that night, your other option is to use it Aug. 20 for the USMTS “Hunt” race.

In what started out to be a very questionable day for weather and track conditions, it turned out to be a full night of racing with the program ending by 10:30.

For the fourth time this season, the weather beat the crew, fans and drivers at Mississippi Thunder Speedway. The next event will be Friday, June 18, with the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA RHS Modifieds and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods.

The second annual Baehman Law B-Mod Challenge had 20 cars vying for the $1,000 paycheck Friday night at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway. But not only was a driver going to collect big, the fans had a pretty good chance of something as well.

In a beautiful start to the Memorial Day Weekend holiday, graduating track employees and drivers climbed into a convertible to carry the colors for the National Anthem. USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mod rookie Jake Timm was named the previous week’s Winona Radio Driver of the Week for his impressive run in the class.

For the second week in a row, racing occurred at Mississippi Thunder Speedway ... that was a big feat this season. What had started out as an unfavorable forecast turned into a very favorable night at the speedway for some but much less than desirable for many.
