Brandon Hare won the USRA B-Mod main event.

The Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series took center stage Friday at the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway for the first night of the 21st Annual Fall Futurity.

Dylan Thornton came out on top of a tough field of Olsen Family USRA Modifieds, leading wire to wire in the 20-lap feature race.

The Iowa resident via Santa Maria, Calif., bested VanderBuilt Race Cars teammates Shane DeVolder and Zack VanderBeek while 12th-starting Jacob Bleess debuted a new Rage Chassis with a fourth-place finish over Josh Angst.

Webster City’s Mark Elliott found victory lane in the Medieval USRA Stock Cars after stealing the lead from early leader Nate Whitehurst suffered a flat tire following red and yellow flag delays midway through the 18-lap affair.

Derek Green wound up second ahead of Myles Michehl, Josh Zieman and Reid Keller as just nine competitors remained on the track when the checkered flag waved.

In USRA B-Mod action, former two-time USRA B-Mod national champion Brandon Hare of Elma crossed the finish line first after a spirited between himself, track champion Ty Griffith and polesitter Zach Davis throughout the race.

While Griffith nipped Hunter Longnecker for the runner-up paycheck, Davis held on to finish fourth in front of fifth-place Trevor Fecht.

Zack Smidt of Mason City topped the USRA Hobby Stock feature by holding off the challenges from a trio of Fort Dodge drivers—Bryce Sommerfeld, Riley Crimmins and Jeremy Crimmins—while national points leader Dylan Clinton completed the top five.

With his 24th main event win of the 2022 season, Thornton’s Oliver Monson, who started seventh, likely cemented the title of USRA Tuner National Champion. The rest of the top five were Kolby Sabin, Tyler Crimmins, Nick Van Hemert and Jake Paysen.
