USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series results for Sunday, June 15, from Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan.

Finally a picture perfect day for racing in Southern Minnesota. Clear blue skies, a slight breeze and temps hovering around 80 degrees. The facility dried out from all of the rain and very good track conditions greeted the fans and drivers on John Hardy’s Bar-B-Que and US Army Night at the Deer Creek Speedway.

While Mother Nature washed out the regular Friday night points show, Midway Speedway officials made the quick decision to run on Saturday night and it paid off well as 98 race teams were greeted with an excellent racing surface and many side-by-side battles all night long.

After 300-plus loads of new dirt and a reconstructed track, the high banks of the I-44 Speedway plans on being ready for reopening on June 21 with a $5 ticket into the grandstand.

In USRA Hobby Stock action Friday night at Huset's Speedway, it was Brandon Ferguson picking up his first feature win.

Chalk another one up for Mother Nature as racing at the Chateau Raceway was the victim of all the recent rains and the flooding of the Cedar River, which runs just outside the back straight-away of the track.

Heavy and torrid rains forced the Midway Speedway to cancel the racing action for the ninth time this season on Friday. Officials feel they can get the track ready for a Saturday night show on June 14, with racing action set to start at 7:30 p.m.

The rainy weather from Sunday night and Monday has forced the I-44 Speedway to push back yet another week of racing action. Officials have also added and changed a race date.

Following a couple of rainout events and great USRA Modified racing the weeks before that, the Midway Speedway will get back into action this Friday night, June 13, with a $1,000-to-win USRA Modified feature. A strong field of cars is excepted.

Races for Wednesday, June 12, at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, have been canceled due to area flooding. The next event will be Wednesday, June 18, for the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series presented by Bennett Racing Supplies featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks.

Kasson Speedway has announced a double feature format for it’s A&A Electric and Underground USRA Modifieds starting this Sunday, June 15. This Sunday will also honor the men and women in uniform with Military Appreciation Night.
