USRA Modifieds battle for $1,000 to win Friday at Midway Speedway
LEBANON, Mo. - Following a couple of rainout events and great USRA Modified racing the weeks before that, the Midway Speedway will get back into action this Friday night, June 13, with a $1,000-to-win USRA Modified feature (based on a 20-car field), along with regular track points races with the Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, B-Mods, Bombers and 305 Winged Sprints also competing.
The last two USRA Modified features have come down to last-lap drama as veteran Rex Merritt has been denied his first ever Midway Speedway feature win as defending champion Eric Hudson and 2006 champion Tony Jackson Jr. both claimed wins in exciting finishes.
These are track points races, along with USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series national points battles.
A strong field of cars is excepted.
Currently, 2005 champion Jamie Ragland holds a slim lead over Eric Hudson while the track has produced four different feature winners out of five points shows this season as Ragland, Jesse Stovall, Jackson and Hudson have all claimed wins, with Hudson the only repeat winner.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 and racing at 8 p.m. sharp.
Grandstand admission is $10 for adults with kids ages 11-15 just $5 and children 10 and under FREE.
USRA Modified drivers pit passes will be $30 while all others this weekend will be $25.
