SPRING VALLEY, Minn. - Finally a picture perfect day for racing in Southern Minnesota. Clear blue skies, a slight breeze and temps hovering around 80 degrees. The facility dried out from all of the rain and very good track conditions greeted the fans and drivers on John Hardy’s Bar-B-Que and US Army Night at the Deer Creek Speedway. The Minnesota Jump Club dropped a couple parachutists out to carry the US Army and the US Flag down during opening ceremonies. A great field of cars was on hand along with a sizeable crowd gathered on this day.

The EZ Fabricating USRA Modified feature closed up the program with Ryan Gustin taking the early lead.

Brad Waits and Tim Donlinger split the car of Shawn Peterson to drop him back to fourth on lap 2.

Donlinger got crossed up in turn 4 on the next lap and dropped back to fourth behind Jason Krohn, who was now charging.

With five laps completed, Waits jumped under Gustin to take the lead with Krohn and Donlinger looking to make ground on Gustin for second.

Gustin was up top running the high line as the rest of the leaders stayed down low.

Sixteen to go and Krohn was now in second with Donlinger on Gustin's rear quarter.

Donlinger took the third spot on lap 12 and started to gain on Krohn with Kelly Shryock moving into the fifth spot.

The front of the field held this formation to the checkers with Waits taking home his first win of the season at the Deer Creek Speedway.

Krohn was second, Donlinger third and Gustin was fourth with Shryock rounding out the top-5.
