Midway Speedway to provide plenty of fireworks on Friday night

The Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., will provide lots of family action on Friday night, July 3, as the Speedway will be hosting a regular racing event but also providing the Lebanon/Laclede County area with a fine fireworks show at intermission.

Gregg Bakker out-dueled Mark Dobmeier into turn 1 from his outside front row starting position and led all 25 laps en route to his first USRA Outlaw Sprint Car feature win of the season Sunday night at the Huset’s Speedway.

With as many rain-outs as there has been this season at the Chateau Raceway powered by Miner's Outdoor & Rec, it's hard to complain about the weather when you do race. But for the second weekend in a row, temperatures were up around the 90-degree mark.

The Deery Brothers Summer Series ends a lengthy absence from the Mighty Howard County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Aug. 25, as Subway hosts the Late Model tour for their first event at the Cresco Speedway since 1996. The event was originally slated for June 11 but was rained-out.
