Scott Winters took off from his pole position in the USRA Outlaw Sprint Car feature and outraced Justin Henderson to claim his first win of 2008 Sunday night. In USRA Championship Sprint action, it was Jody Rosenboom once again topping the field while Ben VanVooren checkered first in USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mod action for the second time this season and Tommy Barber claimed his fourth USRA Hobby Stock trophy of the year.
A cool day for July was in store for the fans and drivers who headed out to Deer Creek Speedway on Saturday. The 2008 Davis County Fair race was a very special night and a very emotional night with the races being dedicated in memory of 16-year-old Jordan Johnson who lost his life on Monday evening. Several drivers made there way through the crowd to collect donations for the Johnson family.

The Midway Speedway is getting ready for the 2nd annual Larry Phillips Birthday Bash on Friday night, July 11. The race, named in the honor of former great driving star Larry Phillips, is ran one week later than his birthday, which was July 3.

At the Monett Speedway on Sunday July 6, USRA Modified action saw Lebanon's Tony Jackson Jr. take the lead from Terry Beckham II of Webb City early in the race, then hold off Eric Turner for his second win of the year at the Monett Speedway.
