The bonus climbs to $1,500 this Friday, Aug. 9, and when you add the $600 winner purse to that, it is a potential $2,100 payday for the USRA Modified feature winner.
A few light showers passed over Chateau Raceway while drivers checked in and fans entered the front gates. It did not dampen things enough and racing returned after a week off.
The weather was perfect for R&S Racing Supply and Auto Value of Austin and Albert Lea night at Chateau Raceway. The kids participated in the second and final candy drop at intermission and set the stage for some great feature races.
It was a picture perfect evening for racing at Chateau Raceway for State Farm Insurance and Broadway Automotive Night, and another decent crowd was on hand for Ice Cream Night for the kids.
A huge crowd turned out for the annual fireworks night presented by Dahle Enterprises and Miner’s Outdoor & Rec.
Mother Nature again tried in vain to end the race program early at Chateau Raceway. Rain fell just before the start of the USRA Modified feature, but it ended quickly and the program ran to its entirety.
The race program went on Friday night at the Chateau Raceway despite heavy rains all around the Lansing area. A season high 101 cars signed in to race on Albert Lea Steel and The New Smitty’s Tavern Night.
Every person that came out took advantage of the free front gate admission Friday night and they jammed the Chateau Raceway full.
This Friday, June 14 is deemed “Fan Appreciation Night” at the Chateau Raceway. This year’s event will really be special to the fans as there is no admission charge at the front gate.
For the first time this season weather was not a factor at Chateau Raceway. It was a nice night for the kids “Gold Rush” night sponsored by French’s Repair and Fabrication along with Rent-N-Save.
