The 2017 racing season will see some new champions and additional points funds and contingency awards available for drivers competing in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Beginning in 2017, Summit Racing Equipment will be the title sponsor of the USRA Weekly Racing Series, and The World’s Speed Shop™ will be the Official High Performance Source of the USRA.

The Iron Man Challenge will kick off the 2017 campaign with USRA B-Mods competing March 23-25, at the Humboldt Speedway during the King of America VII Modified Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment.

The Rapid Speedway will celebrate the 2016 racing season on Saturday, Nov. 5, with their annual awards banquet to recognize drivers, crew members and others for their efforts this season.

The season finale Friday night at Rapid Speedway featured a season high 109 race cars. Derek Green, Lyndon Johnson and Alex Wiertzma were the winners.
