Friday night's show at the Rapid Speedway was capped off with a $1,000-to-win, $100-to-start main event for the Holley USRA Stock Cars.

On a cool evening at the Rapid Speedway Friday night It was “Hobby Stock Madness” in the USRA Hobby Stock feature.

Eighty-seven race cars rolled into Rapid Speedway Friday evening with full fields of Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks packing the pit area.

Another hot night at Rapid Speedway drew 72 race cars. The night featured the Old Timers Series and the USRA Hobby Stock special.

The temperature was cool, but the racing was hot on Friday evening at Rapid Speedway with 93 drivers competing.

Featuring both Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, the USRA Iron Man Series is back in the saddle Thursday and Friday, June 2-3, at the Sioux Speedway and Rapid Speedway.

Seventy-five race cars and drivers rolled through the back gate to start the evening Friday, May 20, at the Rapid Speedway.

On Monday, March 7, the Rapid Speedway staff and officials will host a meeting at the Pizza Ranch located at 205 S. Union St. in Rock Rapids at 7:30 p.m.

A record 228 people attended Saturday night’s annual USRA Awards Banquet in the Star Pavilion located at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City as the USRA closed the curtain on the 2015 season.

Entering its seventh season, the USRA Holley Iron Man Series once again features a combination of both new venues and familiar facilities at 18 of the finest dirt ovals in Iowa, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri.

The USRA closed the curtain on the 2015 season Oct. 25, and with points tallied and audited, the USRA has officially crowned four drivers from four states as 2015 USRA National Champions.

The USRA will celebrate the accomplishments of the dedicated drivers, along with their families and crew members, at the annual USRA awards banquet on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo.
