A huge weekend is on tap for the Iron Man Challenge as the series joins the USMTS on Friday at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Saturday at the Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, S.D.

Both Iron Man Challenge events will feature both the Holley USRA Stock Cars presented by Medieval Chassis and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods presented by Pace Performance, and the Dave Mulder Memorial will be a two-day event at the two tracks with a big payout increase.

Friday night at the Rapid Speedway the payout will increase greatly in memory of Dave Mulder for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods with a top prize of $1,000 going to the winner and a minimum of $120 to start the 24 car main event.

Friday’s show is double your pleasure for Holley USRA Stock Car fans as the program will kick off with the Iron Man Challenge feature that was rained out on June 1.

The pits open at 5 p.m., spectator gates open at 5:30, hot laps begin at 7 and the first heat race hits the track at 7:30. Grandstand tickets are $27 for adults, $12 for teens and free for children 6 and under. A pit pass is $25.

Then on Saturday night at the Park Jefferson Speedway more money is added to the Holley USRA Stock Car class in memory of Dave Mulder with $1,000 to win and $125 to start. The track will be also be offering an additional $104 to the top finishing Stock Car that finished in the top 10 during the 2018 season at Park Jeff.

Pits open at 4 p.m. and spectator gates open at 5 with hot laps at 6:20 and racing to follow. Tickets are $19 in advance or $25 on race day for adults. Seniors ages 70 and up are $17 in advance or $23 at the gate. Kids ages 6-16 are $5 in advance or $10 day of show. Children ages 5 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $40.

Both shows will award national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series. Friday’s show at the Rapid Speedway will also feature Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks and all three classes will compete for USRA track and regional points.

The following weekend, the Iron Man Challenge will makes stops at the Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Iowa, on Friday, Aug. 31 and Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., before completing the ‘hat trick’ on Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa.
