Officials from the United States Racing Association have released the 2013 schedule for the USRA Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10-11, the Great American Stock Car Challenge will take place at the Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa, featuring four big classes battling for big bucks on the historic half-mile oval at the Butler County Fairgrounds.

Officials at the Highway 3 Raceway have announced that weekly Saturday night racing has been suspended for the remainder of the 2012 season. Instead, the track will host several special events throughout the next three months.

Points leader Trevor Hunt finally got his first Industrial Material Surplus Iron Man Challenge trophy with a wire-to-wire victory in the USRA B-Mod main event Friday night at the Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa.

Rain and more rain forecasted for this evening has forced event organizers to cancel tonight’s event at the Highway 3 Raceway for the Industrial Material Surplus Iron Man Challenge for USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods.

Kevin Pittman of Waterloo topped the USRA A-Mods while former USRA National Champion Tory Reicks of Waucoma scored the win in the USRA Stock Car feature. Myles Michehl of Fort Dodge joined the first-time winners list in the USRA Hobby Stocks while Waterloo’s Tyler Droste made it two straight in the USRA B-Mod division.

The third time was the charm for the “Welcome Back” season opener at the Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa, Saturday. The season opener was rained out the two previous times, but tonight Mother Nature wouldn’t be a factor in any way.

Mother Nature’s wicked ways last month will make for an exciting doubleheader this weekend as the Mineral City Speedway in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa, will roll out the red carpet for fans and drivers for their season openers this Friday and Saturday, May 4-5.

Due to inclement weather, officials at the Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa, have postponed the “Welcome Back” season opener to Saturday, May 5.
