American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series results for Saturday, July 9, from the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa.

Six events are in the books for the Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods, with 10 different winners emerging from 11 feature races so far.

Due to weather conditions, there will be no races at the Upper Iowa Speedway on Saturday, April 23.

Seventeen dates at eleven dirt ovals comprise the 2011 schedule for the second season of the Iron Man Challenge for USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods.

Located at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds, weekly racing will feature USRA RHS Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks as part of the Saturday night line-up at the high-banked quarter-mile dirt oval.

The year had a very rough start due to weather, with four of the first six weeks having to be canceled. But once things got rolling the racing was absolutely fantastic.

Following a week of heavy rains, the track took some work to get it back to racing fashion, but once things got rolling, it was super fast and the racing as good as ever.

There was a lot of attention paid to racing in Iowa this past weekend with the first ever NASCAR Nationwide Series race at the Iowa Speedway. But the real action was taking place at local dirt tracks, and nowhere was that more true than at the Upper Iowa Speedway.

With Nordic Fest in full swing, area race fans put down the lefse and rommegrot for a few hours and headed to the Upper Iowa Speedway for one of the season’s best nights of racing thus far. Mother Nature was a kind ol’ gal once again, and all was good.

Decorah’s Upper Iowa Speedway hosted a special Wednesday night event in front of a full-house with USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks running for track and national points in the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series.

With the Winneshiek County Fair in full swing, the Upper Iowa Speedway hosted a rare Thursday night event and gave fair-goers a heck of a show in the process.

Race fans filled the grandstands at Decorah’s Upper Iowa Speedway Saturday to take in another night of fantastic, door-to-door, two- and three-wide racing.
