DECORAH, Iowa—Dan Hovden won the USRA B-Mod main event and his brother, Mitch Hovden, captured the USRA Stock Car feature at the Upper Iowa Speedway to give hometown Decorah drivers a sweep of the Iron Man Challenge on Sunday night.

Dan Hovden started eighth in the 20-lapper for the USRA B-Mods and quickly worked his way to the front, taking the lead on lap 5 and never looking back.

Matt Jones—a three-time USRA B-Mod national champion (2007-09)-- was close behind in second, followed by 2010-11 back-to-back champ Brandon Hare in third.

Alex Williamson and Kyle Anderson rounded out the top five while sixth through tenth went to 20th-starting Jacob Bleess, polesitter Parker Kessel, Iron Man points leader Dan Wheeler, Casey Knutson and Ben Moudry.

In USRA Stock Car action, two-time national champ and defending Iron Man titlist Mitch Hovden ran down early leader Danny Sacquitne on the ninth lap and then paced the final eleven circuits for his first Iron Man win of the 2014 campaign.

Less than a half-car-length back, fellow Decorah driver Kyle Falck had to settle for the runner-up paycheck with Kevin Donlan, Dan Jones and Sacquitne completing the top five.

Points leader Tom Schmitt, Brian Webb, Derek Dettmann, Dillon Anderson and Pete Solum wound up sixth through tenth, respectively.

Nine days from now, the Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods resumes with the first event at the Marshalltown Speedway in Marshalltown, Iowa, on Tuesday, June 3, for a triple-threat treat that also features the USMTS Modifieds.
