Iron Man Championships reset for Oct. 12 at Upper Iowa Speedway
DECORAH, Iowa -- After rain thwarted the Sept. 28 event, the season-ending blockbuster for the Iron Man Challenge will now take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa.
The Iron Man Championships presented by KVIK Radio will feature both USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods battling it out to determine the 2013 series champions. Both divisions will be competing for an $800 top prize with a minimum of $100 to start their respective main events.
USRA Hobby Stocks and Mod Lites will also be on the evening’s card. Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. and the grandstands open at 4. Hot laps begin at 5 p.m. with racing to follow. General admission is $15. Pit passes are $30.
The entry fee for USRA Stock Cars is $25 for licensed or $35 for non-licensed drivers. The entry fee for USRA B-Mods is $20 for licensed or $30 for non-licensed drivers.

The Upper Iowa Speedway is located 1.8 miles east of US 52 on SR 9, then 1.0 mile northwest on Montgomery St., then northeast on E. Main St. (at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds).

Final points are determined by the best 10 finishes for USRA Stock Cars and best 15 finishes for USRA B-Mods during the 2013 campaign. To be eligible for points funds, drivers must possess a valid USRA license, utilize the American Racer KK704 racing tire on all four wheels and compete in at least half of the events for their division.
