Kris Jackson won the second USRA B-Mod main event.

Kris Jackson won the second USRA B-Mod main event.

Two of the top three ranked drivers battling for this year’s USRA B-Mod national championship crown brought their battle to the Deer Creek Speedway on Thursday for opening night of the 24th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree.

The record 78 entries were split into two groups with a pair of $500-to-win main events on tap. Both scored main event wins with Joe Chisholm winning the first and Kris Jackson coming from the tenth starting spot to match that effort in the second feature race.

Zach Brom, Taylor Skauge and 19th-starting Spencer Stock completed the top five in the first race with Dylan Goettl, Kevin Johnson, Scott Demmer, Garitt Wytaske, Tracy Johnson and Adam Bohlman, who started 24th, rounding out the top ten.

Rolling off from the outside of the fifth row, Jackson had an uphill climb but the two-time USRA B-Mod national champ and Summit USRA Nationals winner in 2018 and 2020 found his way to the front and took the checkered flag in front of early leader Brandon Hare—the 2010 and 2011 USRA B-Mod National Champion.

Dustin Kruse, Josh Roney and Harley Dais were third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Sixth through tenth were Trevor Fecht, Ben Moudry, Noah Grinstead, 20th-starting Hunter Kennedy and 23rd-starting Kevin Joachim.

Joe Chisholm won the first USRA B-Mod main event.

Fall Jamboree continues Friday and Saturday: The 24th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree continues Friday and Saturday highlighted by a $5,000-to-win show on Friday and $12,000 to win Saturday's 30-car USMTS Modified main event that will start three-wide.

Saturday’s annual Non-Qualifiers Race will pay $2,000 to win and $250 to start for the next 30 racers that fail to make the 30-car main event.

USRA B-Mods will once again race in twin $500-to-win features Friday evening, and then $1,500 to win Saturday’s finale. Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points are up for grabs all three nights.

On Friday, the pits open at 3 p.m., grandstands open at 5, qualifying kicks off at 6:20 and racing gets underway at 7. All times are one hour earlier on Saturday.

If you can’t be there in person, witness all the action from anywhere on any device at racindirt.tv.

The White Keys Band entertaining everybody Friday night after the races under the big tent in the pits, along with a bon fire. Free pulled pork sandwiches and Busch Light will be served while supplies last.
