Springfield Raceway dirt track action begins this Saturday, April 2, with Watson Metal Masters Opening Night.

Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series points begin this Saturday and the competition wants to end the night in Watson Metal Masters Victory Lane.

"We are excited for another racing season with Springfield Raceway as the Watson Metal Masters Victory Lane," said Bill Schauber, owner of Watson Metal Masters. "Watson Metal Masters incorporates the partnership with the Springfield Raceway to hire employees at our stainless steel tank fabrication plant located in Springfield and to show appreciation to our Watson Metal Masters employees with some free nights of entertainment at the Springfield Raceway."

Carthage veteran Jackie Dalton is the defending USRA B-Mod track champion at the quick quarter-mile clay oval.

Other classes racing this Saturday include Modifieds, MW Modz, Legends, Pure Stocks and FWD/Mini-Stocks.

Driving Directions: I-44 to exit 75, then south to Kearney Hwy., then 1.0 mile west to Westgate Ave., then 0.3 mile south to 2110 N FM RD 123, Springfield, MO.
