All competitors at a USRA-sanctioned event must possess either a USRA Competitor License or USRA Temporary License to participate in the event.
Drivers competing in USRA-sanctioned events are eligible to earn track, regional and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series from January 1 through October 30, 2022.
Racers may call (515) 832-6000 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, email office@usraracing.com or fax a completed USRA License Application to (515) 832-7958. You can download the application at http://usraracing.com/downloads. Online registration is available at usraracing.com/register.
During the Summit USRA Nationals (October 3-8), track and regional points will not be awarded at any racetrack. National points will be awarded at the Summit USRA Nationals only and each competitor will earn 100 bonus national points.
The cost of a USRA Competitor License for the 2022 calendar year is $130 for Modifieds, $110 for Stock Cars, $110 for Late Models, $100 for B-Mods, $100 for Hobby Stocks, $100 for Factory Stocks, $100 for Limited Mods and $60 for Tuners.
All license fees will increase by $20 beginning March 1.
Competitors must purchase a USRA Competitor License on or before June 30 or will get just one-half of the points funds the driver is eligible for. Competitors must designate their intention to be eligible for Rookie of the Year in their division when registering for their USRA Competitor License.
Alternatively, drivers may purchase a temp license for $10 at the racetrack on race day The temp license is valid for one (1) event only. Drivers opting to purchase a temp license will earn the same points as those with a USRA Competitor License. The purchase of a temp license does not apply toward the cost of a USRA Competitor License if one is purchased later.
To be eligible for national points funds, a driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at any one USRA-sanctioned racetrack (minimum of 8 events with a minimum of 4 starts). To be eligible for track points funds, driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at that racetrack for which the points funds are being awarded.
