Jess over Justin in Folk feud at Humboldt
HUMBOLDT, Kan. - The Folk brothers were at it again in USRA Modified action Friday at the Humboldt Speedway.
This time, Jess Jr. took home the hardware with little brother, Justin, in hot pursuit.
Dan Daniels was strong early but slowed late, apparently due to mechanical gremlins, but still took third.
Spring Hill, Kan., driver Lucas Conley was fourth, with Rodney Sigg fifth.
After a tremendous effort by Speedway PR director Kenny Shaw that has encompassed the bulk of the season so far, a benefit auction was held at half-time for Kansas Relay for Life. Kenny spent many hours collecting memorabila from drivers ranging from Rick Aielo to Kenny Schrader, and with help from some friends, and a generous donation from Ron and Rhenda Whitworth, raised $2,400 for the cancer-fighting organization. Congrats to Kenny Shaw for a job well done.
