Folk tops Humboldt Modifieds

HUMBOLDT, Kan. - History was made on Friday, July 24, at Humboldt Speedway with two first-time feature winners, the triumphant return of a salty veteran to victory lane and the continuing saga of a racing legend.

With new and diffrent winners in the other classes, USRA Modified legend-in-the-making Justin "Whitey" Folk continued to roll along at a blistering pace.

This week's win was fairly drama-free as Scott Daniels turned in a solid runner-up performance, followed by Jerald Folk, Jess Folk Jr. and Ryan Whitworth.

What may be the biggest week in Humboldt Speedway history looms just over the horizon. It begins Friday, Aug. 1, with regular races. Then on Monday, Aug. 4, it's NASCAR Stars Night presented by The Grain Bin of Chanute featuring Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace competing against the big guns of the O'Reilly USMTS National Tour Modifieds. Then, regular races return on Aug. 8, followed by the Allen County Fair demolition derby on Aug. 9.
