The quick quarter-mile Springfield Raceway will be back in action Saturday night, Aug. 22, with action in all five classes. Heading into the event, Jackie Dalton of Carthage is the current USRA Modified points leader at the track.

This Friday, Aug. 14, Chateau Raceway would like to show their appreciation to all of the fans that supported them through the 2009 season. In doing so, they are lowering their grandstand admit price to $8 and kids 12 and under will be free on the 14th.

Saturday at the Deer Creek Speedway, the final race of the night was the USRA Modified feature event. A restart with 12 laps to go saw Jason Cummins move under Todd Scharkey for the lead and eventual win.

Persistent rain and storms all day Friday left little to be desired for racing action at Mississippi Thunder Speedway. Promoters called off racing early in the day, foreseeing no possibility of sneaking the racing in between showers.

Hejna tops USMTS field on wild Wednesday night at Osky

Al Hejna won his second USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour event in as many nights Wednesday in a thrilling 35-lap Sunoco “A” Main at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, that saw five lead changes among five drivers, including Hejna's three-wide pass for the lead with just three laps remaining.
