Hare snares third in a row, sixth overall at Dodge County Speedway
KASSON, Minn. - A warm and humid Sunday quickly turned threatening at the Dodge County Speedway.
A brief shower fell on the facility about an hour and a half before race time, but then the sun returned for a bit before another line of storms moved in later.
Race officials kept one eye tuned to the radar as another line of thunderstorms formed to the west of the speedway.
The program was hustled along at a pretty good clip to get the show in for the good-sized crowd that turned out.
With the dark clouds getting closer, the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods entered the speedway for their feature.
Kenny Wytaske led lap 1, but was passed on lap 3 by Jeremy Schaufenbuel.
Brandon Hare was once again a man on a mission as he charged from row 5 to second in practically no time at all.
Schaufenbuel led at the half-way point of the 15-lap event, but Hare was gaining ground.
Hare rocketed to the lead on lap 10 and soared off into the night.
It was Hare’s third win in a row at Kasson and sixth at the speedway so far.
Schaufenbuel was second with Paul Neisius third.
Kylie Kath started fourteenth and took fourth with Wytaske in the top five.
Just as the race ended, the skies really opened up for a bit and everyone that was at the Dodge County Speedway knew they got very lucky to get this show done to its conclusion.
Racing will resume next Sunday, June 6, with at start time of 6 p.m.
