Chateau Raceway powered by Miners Outdoor Power & Rec lost another week of racing action this weekend thanks to Mother Nature.

The Freedom Series will take place July 3-5 at the Chateau Raceway, Deer Creek Speedway and Dodge County Speedway with $1,000 up for grabs each night to the USRA Modified feature winner.

Despite a few sprinkles at the end of the evening its was a perfect Friday night for dirt track racing action at the Chateau Raceway by Miners Outdoor & Rec as the track rolled out the red carpet for the 12th Annual Mike Guttormson Memorial.

Mother Nature was the big winner for the second week in a row as Chateau Raceway powered by Miners Outdoor & Rec was forced to cancel the races because of rain Friday night. It’s the third show the track has lost to weather this year.

Friday night's racing action at the Chateau Raceway powered by Miner's Outdoor Power & Recreation was a victim of Mother Nature.

Tommy Myer blitzed the field in the USRA Modified feature Friday night at the Chateau Raceway, but was lucky the race wasn't one lap longer.

Josh Reisch of Luverne made the trip to Lansing for the second week in a row and came away with a pair of wins for his effort. Reisch led flag to flag in both of his races as he used front row starting spots to his advantage both times.

After a cold season opener last week, Mother Nature provided a perfect spring day with temperatures near 70 degrees for week 2 of racing action at the Chateau Raceway powered by Miner's Outdoor Power & Recreation.

Brad Waits of Zumbrota, who has won the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series National Championship for USRA Modifieds the past two years, got a good start on trying to make it three in a row as he posted the feature win Friday night at the Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Minn.

In what may be a first in organized racing, three of the four drivers that captured the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series titles in 2007 repeated the feat in 2008. Brad Waits captured his second straight USRA Modified crown, while the same can be said for Tom Schmitt (USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars) and Matt Jones (USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods). Jason McDaniel (USRA Hobby Stocks) won his first title after finishing second last year.

Chateau Raceway powered by Miner's Outdoor & Rec hosted 3rd Annual Fall Nationals this past weekend. Two full shows featuring all six of the track's regular classes over two nights provided plenty of action as the 2008 racing season came to a close.

Jacob Dahle of Morristown, Minn. got to the front on the drop of the green and than hugged the bottom of a dry slick track to hold off all challengers for his second feature win of the season.
