The Lucas Oil Speedway is continuing and expanding it's affiliation with the United States Racing Association (USRA) for the 2014 racing season, officials from the track and USRA announced today.

With nearly 200 drivers, crew members, sponsors, family and friends in attendance this past Saturday evening at University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield, Lucas Oil Speedway officially crowned the 2013 season champions in each of the four weekly classes.

Drivers in the two open-wheel divisions are locked in tight battles with razor-thin margins that will come down to the final night of racing while the leaders in the two full-fendered divisions have simply to wait until Oct. 20 to be crowned USRA national champions.

Officials with Lucas Oil Speedway are pleased to announce the annual Lucas Oil Speedway Championship Banquet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield.

With a huge crowd on hand and nearly 130 cars in the pit area, Jason Pursley scored the USRA Modified main event win on the final 2013 Lucas Oil Speedway weekly championship series night of the season.
