A warm and sticky Saturday afternoon greeted the fans and drivers at the Deer Creek Speedway this week. Mother Nature brewed up some storms which missed us most of the day.

The season has just begun but the point battles are starting to take shape. This Saturday night all five weekly classes will be back in action and teams will attempt to edge closer to the coveted championship titles.

After a week of solid rain the crew was able to put together another good racetrack and, with the help of the drivers, found room in the pits for all racers even with unusable areas due to saturated grounds.

The first feature of the night Saturday was the continued USRA Modified feature from two weeks ago which was cancelled due to rain at the Deer Creek Speedway.

Officials worked through the challenges early in the week but were forced to shut down late Thursday night and were not able to fire back up on Friday.

The wait is finally over race fans, Deer Creek Speedway will go green for the first time in 2015 this Saturday night, April 18.
