USMTS/USRA awards banquet Feb. 4
The United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) and United States Racing Association (USRA) will host a joint awards banquet on Saturday, February 4, at Harrah's Kansas City Hotel & Casino to celebrate the 2022 racing season for both organizations.
Headlining the honorees will be 2022 USMTS National Champion Dustin Sorensen, Grant Junghans USMTS Rookie of the Year Cayden Carter and many other top points earners and special award winners. The USRA will put the spotlight on eight different summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national champions and many others.

The banquet will be held in the 9,792-square-foot Nevada Ballroom with capacity for up to 550 guests. Social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:00 and the awards ceremony is slated to begin at 8:00. In addition to the awards ceremony, the evening’s meal will feature a luxurious and plentiful selection of fine food, plus a huge dessert bar. A cash bar will also be available.
Individual tickets are $50 each and on sale now by calling the USMTS at (515) 832-7944 or USRA at (515) 832-6000 during normal business hours. The deadline to order tickets and to book rooms at Harrah's is Friday, January 27. All reservation requests must be received on or before the cutoff date.
Banquet attendees are requested to dress casual—no blue jeans or T-shirts please.
A limited number or hotel rooms have been reserved for banquet attendees. Attendees may call 800-427-7247 before the cut-off date to book their hotel reservation and must mention the offer/group code “S02US23” to receive the special group rate. Any reservations made by phone will be assessed a fee of $10 plus current sales tax, per reservation. To avoid paying the above $10 fee, individuals may book their hotel reservations by clicking here.
All reservations must be guaranteed with a deposit for the first night's room and tax charge which will be billed immediately to the cardholder's account. A daily resort/amenity fee of $15 per room, per night plus the current occupancy tax will be charged. The amenity fee includes two (2) guest admissions per day to the fitness center; WiFi for two (2) devices per room per day and access to the business center.
Hotel room cancellations are allowed without penalty up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduled arrival date. Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m.
