Longdale Speedway returns to racing in 2023
The much anticipated return of racing at Longdale Speedway is coming in 2023.
Owner of the American Sprint Car Series and National Open Wheel 600 Series along with co-owner of the Oil Capital Racing Series, United Rebel Sprint Series and United Sprint League, Terry Mattox and business partner Kerry Gorby are set to bring racing back to Longdale in 2023.
"Longdale is one of the nicest facilities in the state and needs put to good use and we can't thank Jessie enough for allowing us to make this happen." commented Mattox. "Gorby and I are planning to hold one race a month at Longdale."
"We will be working with Enid (Oklahoma) on scheduling. Our plan right now is to run the third Saturday of the month while Enid runs the first in order to give a week off in between each track."
USRA Limited Modifieds and USRA Tuners will compete at each event with plans to build up a Medieval USRA Stock Car class.
USRA Modifieds will run throughout the year, along with ASCS Sprints, OCRS Sprints, URSS Sprints, Sooner Late Models and Factory Stocks.
A full lineup of events will be released in the coming weeks.
