Derek Van Veldhuizen won the USRA Hobby Stock main event.

Derek Van Veldhuizen won the USRA B-Modified feature and Josh Bradley took the trophy in the USRA Hobby Stock main event on Saturday night at the I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D.

Van Veldhuizen made a move around the outside of Aaron De Thury and into the lead on lap 5 of the USRA B-Mod main.

The move into the W column is the first on the year for the Rock Rapids, Iowa, driver who marked his fifth overall win at I-90 Speedway with the victory.

Completing the top five were Tyler Tesch, De Thury, Wade Wright and Dustin Kruse.

At the same time, Miah Christensen had to make his way out of the B-Main but his efforts paid off as he was crowned the 2022 track champion.

Bradley was out front all 12 laps of the USRA Hobby Stock feature to get his second win of the year and fifth of his career.

Tracy Halouska raced from tenth to second with Brandon Jurrens in third. Andy Wieczorek was fourth with and Nick Brady fifth.

Landon Krohn completed his solid season and the Rowena racer is the 2022 track champion in the USRA Hobby Stocks.

The I-90 Speedway season banquet will be held Oct. 29 at the Humboldt Community Center.

Summit USRA Nationals nears: The 9th Annual Summit USRA Nationals happens Monday through Saturday, Oct. 3-8, at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.

The biggest event on dirt will kick off with an open practice on Monday, and then racing will take place every night from Tuesday through Saturday. All eight USRA-sanctioned classes will participate at one time or another during the six-day event.

The Summit Shootout also returns this year and will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and feature USRA track champions and Summit Shootout qualifying race winners to compete in this one-of-a-kind blockbuster battle royale for Modified, Stock Car, B-Mod and Hobby Stock competitors.
