Sooner Limited Modified Series Mid-Summer Heat set for July 30


On the heels of a stellar show at the Belleville High Banks, the Sooner Limited Mod Series will be back to the western side of Oklahoma for the first time in three years for Mid-Summer Heat on Saturday, July 30, at the Elk City Motorsports Park in Elk City, Okla.

USRA Limited Mod drivers will be racing for the new purse for our regular shows with $750 to win and $150 to start.

USRA B-Mods are also welcome to compete with their rules package.

Payout: 1. $750, 2. $575, 3. $350, 4. $275, 5. $225, 6. $200, 7. $175, 8. $165, other starters $150, non-qualifiers $50. Entry fee $25.

Races will be starting at 8 p.m.

The remaining schedule for 2022 will find the Sooner Limited Modified Series at Elk City Motorsports Park on Aug. 27 for the Back to School Bash and then Sept. 19 for the Fall Brawl before wrapping the season Oct. 27-29 with the Salute to Racing Heroes event.

The Elk city Motorsports Park is located off of I-40 at the Merrit Rd/N1970 exit, then 0.4 mile north on Merrit Rd./N1970, then west on W 20th St/BK1), then 0.4 mile to the track entrance at 5195 W 20th St, Elk City, OK 73644. Look for the sign on the left and turn left onto dirt road. Track, pits and parking lot are visible just from a quarter-mile down the dirt road.
