Paul Seabrooke won the USRA Hobby Stock main event.

Friday night, the Fayette County Speedway was the place to be in Northeast Iowa as the USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks were in action.

For the first time in 2022, Decorah’s Paul Seabrooke was able to park his No. 19 USRA Hobby Stock in Victory Lane. Seabrooke started on the pole and fell to the second position early, but later got around early leader Troy Hovey of Cresco.

Hovey finished third, while runner-up Dylan Clinton gave Seabrooke plenty of heat over the final laps, but wasn’t able to get around him.

In fourth was Cedar Rapids’ Aaron Kleppe, while Josh Ludeking of Decorah was fifth. Hard charger Daryl Moss of West Union moved ahead nine spots in the 20-lapper to take sixth.

In the USRA B-Mod main event, Cresco’s Jason Schlangen was able to get his second win of the season at the track as he started fourth on the grid and quickly made his way to the front.

In second was Ionia’s Brian Mahlstedt, while Matt Jones of Waukon finished third. Hard charging Patrick McDermott of Decorah got his best finish of the season in fourth, while Waukon’s Tim Heins finished fifth.

USRA Stock Car feature race might as well have been called the “Kevin Donlan Show" as the Decorah driver got win No. 3 of the season at Fayette County Speedway.

Donlan started fourth and found his way to the top spot early, beating runner-up Brayden Gjere of Mabel, Minn., by a straightaway. In third and fourth were Waukon drivers Dan Jones and Brandon Dietrech, respectively, while Jake Lampert of Caledonia, Minn., finished fifth.

Racing will return Friday night, July 1, with the USRA Tuners back in action with the USRA Stock Cars, B-Mods and Hobby Stocks.
